The Haystack Holiday Gift Guide!

The Haystack Holiday Gift Guide!

home alone.jpg

We are Kevin McCallister jumping on the bed-level excited to introduce Haystack’s first-ever holiday gift guide. So, without further ado, presenting our roundup of somewhat nostalgic, but mostly just amazing, finds to give everyone on your list. Happy (or, you know, as happy as can be expected) holidays! And keep the change, you filthy animals.

Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah: Andy Sweet’s Summer Camp 1977, $29.95

Capturing the summer of 1977 at Camp Mountain Lake in North Carolina, Andy Sweet’s photos are almost too good. This book is honestly worth it for the graphic tee inspiration alone.

Wool Blend Cap with Ear Covers by Tsuyumi, $168

Elmer Fudd, Ignacious Riley, Uncle Buck. Join this pack of hat gods with one of these wool-blend trapper-style caps from handmade NYC label Tsuyumi. The fur (in very un-Fudd fashion) is faux.

Hilde Fair Isle Sweater by Alex Mill, $145

No one does preppy cool better than Alex Mill, and this cute little cardigan is perfect for living out all your Brat Pack fantasies (are we the only ones who have those?).

CBD Rosin Delights by Rose Los Angeles x Gossamer, $45

Fruit snacks, for grownups!

The Rennie Tote by Barrineau, $170

This 70s-style corduroy tote—which comes in four dreamy, dusty shades—is the perfect size for long weekends away or (let’s be real) toting your laptop, water bottle, tablet, etc. from couch to desk to bed, and back again.

Paul Thomas Anderson: Masterworks by Adam Nayman, $36

Paul Thomas Anderson book.jpg

We both stan PTA, so when Jenna’s brother tipped her off about this new book from Ringer contributor Adam Nayman, she instantly ordered two copies (one for herself, and one for, well...merry early Christmas, Jayna!). But seriously, don’t even get us started on the perfection of the Boogie Nights chapter.

Yellow Fuck Ceramic Mug from General Admission, $34

Yup, that just about sums it up. :)

Fleece Full-Zip by Eddie Bauer x karla, $129

The candy-colored, ‘80’s-inspired collab you (really) never knew you needed, courtesy of the uber cool stylist and, well, Eddie Bauer.

80s Icons Tall Votive Set by Bijou Candles, $114

We’re all caps obsessed with this collection of votives, inspired by some of the 80s biggest and best divas. Seriously, don’t you want to smell like Tina Turner in 1984??

Yin-Yang Mask Chain by Good For Now, $34

Your BFF might enjoy this ROYGBV mask croakie, which reminds us of the beaded friendship bracelets we used to make at camp. Except this is more of a year-round, Fauci-approved kind of thing. Extra cool: the brand donates a portion of sales to the Equal Justice Initiative.

The Ellis Penny Loafer by Blackstock and Weber, $295

Brooklyn-based accessories label Blackstock and Weber puts a modern spin on classic slip-on shoes (think tasseled and penny loafers finished with pebbled leather and stepped-up soles). The cool AF effect is timeless-meets-right-now, or as we’d rather put it, Gable-meets-Chalamet.

Fujifilm INSTAX Mini Link Smartphone Printer, $99.95

Fine, maybe they’ve become a bit of a throwback cliche, but we will never ever EVER get tired of polaroids, especially when they’re this tiny and cute (and you can print them in a second from your phone’s camera roll).

Press Conference Crewneck by Momala World, $55

A (super soft) way to remember the one and literally ONLY thing we never want to forget about 2020.

12 Stone Rough Chakra Set by Chakra Zulu Crystals, $32

Jayna lost a pair of amethyst crystal earrings on one of those pirate ship rides at an amusement park when she was 13 and still isn’t over it, but this chakra-balancing set might just be the thing that helps her move on.

Take Out Sock by KULE, $28

Like the aforementioned Fuck You mug’s less cynical cousin. These socks from KULE (a brand we really, really love) are cozy, cute and will make you 🙂 every time your pant leg hikes up a little too high.

Colored Wine Stemware (Set of 6) by Estelle Colored Glass $175

There’s something irresistibly vintage-y about colored glass, and this hand-blown set of rainbow stemware is particularly pretty. They’re also a reason to consider an open kitchen shelving plan.
